Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQs

  • Where are you located?

Our showroom is located at 40 N Main St Zionsville, IN 46077

  • Do you accept walk-ins?

At Brick Street Bridal, every bride who walks through our door is important and deserves our undivided attention. This is why we ask each bride to have her own private appointment, which typically take 60-90 minutes.

We want to spend enough time getting to know you, understanding your style, and helping you create your vision for the most important day of your life. Our small team will go above and beyond to ensure an experience that will be remembered forever.

Weekday walk-ins are absolutely welcome! However, please keep in mind that all of the fitting rooms may already be reserved on a busy day, or we may not have the staff to accommodate you in that moment. If you are considering walking in, we always recommend calling first.

  • How long is my appointment?

Please allow 1 1/2 hours for your appointment.

  • How many people should I bring to my appointment?

We believe that your fitting should be as intimate as possible. We want the focus to stay on you and what style and feeling you want to emulate on your wedding day. Sometimes, too many opinions end up overwhelming the bride’s decision, and we want your experience to be as intimate and stress-free as possible. We recommend a crew of 8 or less - friends and family members whose opinions you value most. If you wish to bring more than 8 people along with you, please call or e-mail us to let us know.

  • What should I bring to my appointment?

It can be helpful to bring a strapless bra to your appointment, however trying on dresses with no bra whatsoever is totally fine! If you plan on wearing Spanx on your big day, feel free to bring a pair to get a sense of it. You want to envision yourself on your wedding day, so these items play a key role! But do not worry if you are without these items during your appointment.

  • Do I have to pay for my dress in full?

Brick Street Bridal requires a 60% deposit on your dress at the time of ordering, and the remaining 40% at pickup, including any changes or alterations added.

  • What is your return and cancelation policy?

All Brick Street Bridal wedding gowns are made for each individual bride. The 60% wedding gown deposit is nonrefundable. A bride may be cancelled but will forfeit the 60% deposit that was paid upon purchase of the wedding gown. The remaining 40% balance will not be charged should you cancel your bridal order.

Returns are accepted for jewelry, head bands, hair combs/pins, garter belts, and veils. These returns will only be accepted within 30 days of purchase if they are not damaged or stained.

Tips for Your Appointment

  • What to Expect

Welcome to Brick Street Bridal! We are a small bridal boutique located on the historic brick street in downtown Zionsville. During this time of Covid-19 we want to assure all brides that you and your entourage will be completely safe while shopping for the wedding dress of your dreams. All of our sample dresses are sanitized after every appointment, so rest assured you are safe. Also since we are a small boutique and we do appointment only, you and your party will be the only group in the store at the time of your appointment, providing an intimate experience and giving all involved a safe and secure setting to shop for your wedding dress. We ask that everyone in your group wear a mask when walking into Brick Street Bridal, but once seated you will be allowed to remove your mask. Make sure to eat before your appointment. Your consultant will offer drinks such as water, hot tea and coffee.

  • A Realistic Budget

We recommend having an idea of how much you’d like to spend on a wedding dress. You should also include room in your budget for a veil, headpieces, or any jewelry, as well as any alterations that your dress should need.

  • Proper Undergarments

Feeling and looking your best will ultimately help you feel more confident to find the dress of your dreams. We suggest wearing a nude strapless bra, nude underwear (such as regular nude panties, cheeky, high cut panties or thong,). You can also wear shapewear if you prefer.

  • Hair Ties & Clips

We ask that you bring or wear a hair clip or hair tie to pull your hair up, especially if you are choosing to wear an updo on your wedding day.

  • Appropriate Shoes

Make sure you bring along proper footwear to try on with your dress. Already bought your wedding shoes? Great! If not, bring along similar-looking shoes you’d like to wear on your wedding day (think heels vs. flats). Although if you’d prefer to go barefoot for your appointment that is acceptable.

  • Inspiration

Share your wedding inspiration with Brick Street Bridal. Prior to your appointment you can send your inspiration photos to us via email with your consultant. You can also show your consultant your inspirations that same day so they can get an idea of your likes and dislikes.

  • Entourage

Brick Street Bridal is a small bridal boutique. During this time of Covid-19 you can have peace of mind concerning everyone's safety. The bride and her entourage are the only people in the store at the time of the appointment so feel free to bring along your Mother, future Mother-in-law, Grandmothers, and Friends.

  • Sample Sizes

Most of Brick Street Bridal sample size dresses are in a size 12. Though we do have a few in size 10 and size14. We can adjust the sample sizes to fit most brides using clips or stretchers. (Please note that a bridal size 12 is equivalent to a street size 8). We do carry a very small selection of Plus size sample dresses.
